One of the world’s most famous tenors, the Spanish Catalan singer José Carreras is known for his performances of operas by Verdi and Puccini. He has performed more than 60 roles in the finest opera houses around the world, and now will add the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House to the list. In the 1990s, he joined Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti to form The Three Tenors, bringing opera music to a wider audience.
